Many truck drivers in Canada need to cross the USA border and the FAST card makes it much easier for truckers to cross.
A criminal background check is done when applying for a FAST card and the card will be denied if any criminal charges show up.
If the trucker get a Canada Pardon before applying for a FAST card, it is unlikely that the criminal record will show up and they will get the FAST card.
Here is a letter we recently received from a truck driver who we helped to get a Canada Pardon:
“Thank you for sending my pardon promptly. Now I can apply for my FAST card. This will enable me to go through the border much faster with little questions asked. It could possibly avoid going through x-ray.”
“As far as employment, I can now go and apply for job to be cream of the crop. When you have any kind of record you will have to settle for bottom of the barrel.”
“In a slow time that we are in now, employers can be very particular in who they hire.”
“The ones with the clean criminal record come first.”
“I will never drink and drive again or commit any criminal offence as they say you don’t know what you got till you lose it.”
