In Canada, there are a number of terms for Drunk Driving including Impaired Driving, DUI, DWI, Refusal to accept breathalizer and Driving over 80mg. Regardless of the term, many are not aware that it is a criminal offence.
Each year thousands of Canadians are convicted of Impaired Driving. In addition to all the expenses of hiring a lawyer, losing your licence and higher insurance costs, the emotional burden of having a criminal record can be severe.
Thankfully our Canada gives us a second chance by allowing Canadians the opportunity to apply for a Canada Pardon. Once the Pardon is granted, then the criminal record is removed.
